In 2017, Miller Construction Management, along with Southern Design Works, converted an abandoned single-level Foot Action retail store to a two story Haverty’s Furniture store. This 35,000 SF retail store was completed within 10 months. The original steel elements were used in a way to determine departments and the storefront’s windows brought in plenty of natural light conveying a sense of entry and engagement. The store was awarded First Place in a Retail Renovation Competition by VMSD Magazine.
